Submission Guidelines & Instructions

SUBMISSION ELIGIBILITY

The Visual Art & Design Department, in partnership with the School of Arts & Media, is calling out to VAD Faculty to participate in the Faculty Art Show.

Participation is open to full-time and adjunct VAD Division Faculty.  This is an opportunity to showcase the work of the very talented and creative individuals who are the core and the essence of the VAD Department.

SUBMISSIONS

There is an online submission process for the art show.  There is no entry fee, and this is not a juried exhibit.  Faculty may submit up to two works of art. Each work of art needs to be registered on this website, and a picture of the artwork must accompany each submission.  Following the electronic submission process, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with information regarding the entries that will be displayed in the art show.  Each faculty member will be represented with at least one work of art. More will be exhibited based on the number of submissions and the gallery's wall space.  Faculty will be notified beforehand of what artwork to bring to the gallery for the exhibit.  Specific instructions concerning the dropping off and picking up of artwork will be contained in your confirmation email.

For the online submissions, each entry must have a digital copy file to upload.  Up to 3 attachment(s) can be uploaded for each submission.  The specifications are as follows:

  • Image minimum length on shortest side: 540px
  • Image maximum length on longest side: 4600px
  • Maximum file size: 4mb
  • Allowed file types: jpg, png, mp3, mp4, MOV, pdf
For detailed information on how to register and upload images to enter into the Faculty Art Show, click on the Submission Tutorial link at the top of the page.

The Visual Art & Design Department and the School of Arts & Media will host an opening reception.  All are invited to attend.  Light refreshments will be served.
